How the numbers are calculated
- Prices are in US dollars paid with US cards. International cards, currency conversion, sales tax and VAT add costs that depend on where you and your supporters are, so they are not included.
- Card processing uses Stripe's standard US rate of 2.9% + $0.30 per payment unless a platform publishes its own rate. Refunds and chargebacks are not included.
- Monthly plan prices are charged in full every month, so flat-fee plans such as Ko-fi Gold or Stan Store get cheaper as your prices and revenue grow.
- Patreon's payout fee depends on the payout method you pick and is not included. Postion's is: one bank payout per month at 0.8% + $1, once your balance reaches the $100 minimum.
