Stripe Connect Integration Guide
Step-by-step guide to connecting your Stripe account with Postion. Start accepting payments, manage payouts, and track your revenue.
Stripe Connect powers all payments on Postion. This guide walks you through the complete setup process so you can start earning revenue from subscriptions and one-time purchases.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A Postion account with at least one site created
- A valid email address for your Stripe account
- Your bank account or debit card details for receiving payouts
- A government-issued ID (required by Stripe for identity verification)
Step 1: Initiate the Connection
- Go to your Dashboard → Sites → Select your site
- Click "Earning" in the site settings sidebar
- Click the "Connect Stripe" button
You'll be redirected to Stripe's secure onboarding flow. Postion never sees or stores your banking details.
Step 2: Complete Stripe Onboarding
Stripe will ask you to:
- Create or sign in to your Stripe account
- Verify your identity — Upload a government-issued ID
- Add your business details — Individual or company information
- Connect your bank account — Where your payouts will be sent
- Review and submit — Confirm all details are correct
The verification process typically takes 1-3 business days. You can still set up your subscription plans during this time, but payments won't be processed until verification is complete.
Step 3: Create Subscription Plans
Once connected, you can create your pricing tiers:
- Navigate to Site Settings → Plans
- Click "Create Plan"
- Configure your plan:
- Name: e.g., "Pro Membership"
- Price: Monthly or annual pricing
- Description: What subscribers get
- Access Level: Which content is included
Set up a Free tier to attract readers and build trust
Create a Standard tier ($5-15/month) as your primary offering
Optionally add a Premium tier ($20-50/month) with exclusive benefits
Understanding Fees

Managing Your Revenue
Viewing Earnings
- Go to Site Settings → Earning for a complete revenue overview
- Track MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue), total subscribers, and individual transactions
- Export earnings data as CSV for accounting purposes
Payout Schedule
Stripe pays out automatically based on your region:
- US/UK/EU: Rolling 2-day payout schedule
- Other regions: 7-day rolling schedule
You can adjust your payout schedule in your Stripe Dashboard.
Troubleshooting
"Stripe account not verified"
Your identity verification may be pending. Log in to Stripe Dashboard to check the status.
"Payments not processing"
Ensure that:
- Your Stripe account verification is complete
- Your bank account is connected and verified
- Your site has at least one active subscription plan
"Payout delayed"
Payouts may be delayed if:
- Your Stripe account has a new bank account (7-day hold)
- Stripe has flagged unusual activity for review
- You're in a region with longer payout schedules
