A transparent and detailed breakdown of our fee structure, how you get paid, and a clear example of your earnings.
1. Our Philosophy: Transparent & Fair
We believe you have the right to know exactly how your money is handled. There are no hidden fees on Postion. This page breaks down every cent, so you can build your business with confidence.
2. The Fee Structure: Simple and Honest
There are only two fees deducted from the revenue you generate:

Postion Platform Fee: 5%
- This is our commission for providing the software, hosting, features, and support that power your creative business.
- We are proud that this is one of the lowest and most competitive rates in the industry (e.g., Substack charges 10%).

Payment Processing Fee:
- This fee is not charged by Postion. It goes directly to our payment partner, Stripe, for securely processing credit card transactions.
- This is a standard fee across the internet. The typical rate is 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, though this can vary slightly by country.
That's it. There are no other charges.
3. An Example Calculation
Let's walk through an example to see exactly how it works.
Imagine a supporter pays for a $10.00 monthly subscription.
- Starting Amount:
$10.00 - Less Stripe Fee:
$10.00 x 2.9% + $0.30 = $0.59 - Less Postion Fee:
$10.00 x 5% = $0.50 - Your Earning:
$10.00 - $0.59 - $0.50 =$8.91
In this example, you take home 89.1% of the revenue.
4. How You Get Paid
- Payouts via Stripe: All payouts are handled securely through Stripe Connect. During setup, you'll create or connect a Stripe account. This ensures your banking information is kept private and secure.
- Payout Schedule: Once a payment from a subscriber is processed, the funds are held briefly by Stripe and then automatically transferred to your connected bank account on a rolling basis. You can track all payments and transfers in your Stripe dashboard.
5. Don't Forget Your Early Adopter Bonuses!
As a reminder for our founding users:
- Tips & Ads: For your first 3 months, the 5% Postion Platform Fee is waived on all revenue from tips and advertising. You only pay the Stripe processing fee.
